Fleet manager [m/f/d]

alias Workshop Manager or Fleet Manager

Location: Kassel

You are responsible for 530 trucks and 530 trailers throughout Europe. You keep an eye on our fleet from your desk. You use our company’s measurement data and empirical values and bring all vehicles to the workshop for main inspection and inspection throughout the year. Your tools: databases, probabilities and a great workshop team. You know our vehicles: if a truck breaks down or a mechatronics engineer needs support, you react. You solves problems. You stand by it. You make decisions. Strategically. Systemic. Dynamic.

Your commitment.

You are responsible for the central organisation and administration of the entire fleet [Fleet management] with currently more than 530 trucks and 530 trailers all over Europe.

Road safety, efficiency and staff management are the guidelines of your job.

You bring structure into chaos, prioritise information and create a structured workflow.

You plan the use of our vehicles on a daily, weekly, yearly basis. In doing so, you take existing capacities into account, keep to legal inspection dates and manufacturer-specific deadlines.

You coordinate the internal and external workshop orders.

You create maintenance and repair orders as well as analyse and evaluate abnormalities.

You integrate unplanned vehicle downtime or repairs in the daily and weekly schedule without putting pressure on your colleagues.

You uncover systemic errors and correct them in the conflicting relationship between scheduling, workshop, driver and profitability.

You plan ahead, think economically beyond the boundaries of your own department.

Your qualifications.

You have completed a commercial apprenticeship, ideally for freight forwarding and logistics services or a degree in business administration with a focus on transport/logistics or master craftsman in road transport.

You have several years of professional experience in fleet management and/or vehicle maintenance.

You are used to working independently and responsibly.

You have a high degree of communication and teamwork skills as well as customer orientation.

You have good PC skills and a confident use of MS Office applications.

You speak German, English. Polish or Romanian are also very welcome.
