Dispatcher, Location Kassel


Your workplace is Europe: From your desk you route our customers’ orders across the continent. You prepare the tours, staff them with drivers, plan the batches. Your tools: databases, algorithms, probabilities. You know the whole system: if a truck breaks down or a driver falls ill, you must react immediately. You look after the drivers, provide them with information. Solve problems. Your tours – your responsibility. You stand by it. You decide. Strategically. Systemically. Dynamically.

Your commitment.

  • Together with your team, you are responsible for the daily planning and dispatching of our trucks in local and long-distance traffic.
  • You adjust and optimise the deployment of driving personnel.
  • You will take over deadline monitoring, adjustment and optimisation.
  • You are in proactive, multilingual communication with our drivers.
  • You lead the driving personnel professionally.
  • You monitor and control the activities in the day-to-day business of dispatching.
  • You have a high IT affinity and quickly familiarise yourself with system landscapes.

Your qualification.

  • You completed an apprenticeship as merchant (m/f/d) for forwarding and logistics services or a comparable commercial qualification.
  • You have sound experience in dispatching, experience in the freight forwarding environment is required.
  • You are highly committed and service-oriented and always keep a cool head.
  • You have very good computer skills.
  • You are very familiar with the statutory social regulations (driving/resting/shift times) – and you are just as confident in written and spoken English.
  • You score points with comprehensive regional and geographical knowledge as well as organisational and communication skills.
  • Last but not least, you convince us as a reliable and assertive team player with a willingness to work in alternating shifts.
